The Feminine Mysteries

In western cultures, we are taught to think in a masculine, logical and linear way and there is a greater emphasis placed on intellectual processes and less on the feminine instinctiveness, softness and fluidity. Exploration of the Feminine Mysteries allows us to redress the imbalance between the contemporary roles and the archetypes that call to us from a deeper place and often expresses itself in teachings and ceremonies that honour and illuminate the aspects of the Divine Feminine.

The deeper, more meaningful and spiritual aspects of the various stages of womanhood - menstruation, the birthing process, motherhood, menopause & cronehood, are honoured and explored and it is seen that, by connecting with a deeper understanding to all aspects of womanhood, connection to the Goddess, as Divine Self, is further enhanced.

This exploration into the Divine Feminine is not exclusive to women and is open for men to explore - it being seen that within each of us is both the masculine and the feminine. Yin and Yang. Nor is it seen as belonging to any one faith and is in many cultures and belief systems throughout the world.

In Glastonbury, there is a strong Goddess focussed culture and every year, an annual Goddess conference draws men and women from all over the globe. See also Goddess Temple on our Glimpses pages.
